Flash Player 220.127.116.11 has been released which fixes the issue described below.
The latest version of Flash Player 18.104.22.168 standalone has a severe issue related to the capturing of the microphone input that manifests itself on Windows 10 OS on both Firefox and Edge browsers.
The microphone is totally unresponsive and sometimes it is not even captured. In the Flash settings menu, the audio meter hangs sometimes at 100% or varies irregularly no matter how the ‘record volume’ slider is set or if the reduce echo checkbox is checked.
As a result the microphone is not captured correctly or not at all, making it impossible to record/transmit audio.
Important to note that this happens on the standalone version of Flash Player 22.214.171.124. Surprisingly, the debug version of the same Flash player – you know, the one used to debug Flash apps – actually behaves as expected.
